What Mathy keeps, and why.
Last updated October 16, 2026
Mathy is a math game for kids, made by a parent. It has no ads, no tracking, and nothing for sale. This page explains the small amount of information it saves.
What we save about players
Each player has a first name (or nickname), a grade, a picture or drawn character, and their game progress: which facts they know, stars, gems, treasures, and how their palace or town is decorated. We don't ask kids for an email, a last name, a birthday, or a photo.
This is saved to the grown-up's account in our database (hosted by Supabase in Canada), so it's the same on every device they sign in on, and a copy stays in the browser on each device so the game works offline.
Before accounts, families could sync with a Castle Key (five pictures). We stored only a scrambled version (a hash) of each key. When a grown-up signs in on a device that used one, that family's players move into the account; the old copy is kept until we tidy it up.
What we get when a grown-up signs in
A grown-up signs in with Google, which shares their name, email address, and profile picture with us. We use these only to sign them in and to show which account is in use. We don't sell or share your address, and we don't ask Google for anything else (no contacts, calendar, or files).
Who else sees it
Nobody we sell or give it to. These services help run Mathy and handle data only to do that: Supabase (the database and sign-in), Vercel (hosting the website), Google (sign-in, and the font the site uses). There are no analytics or advertising tools in Mathy.
Kids
Mathy is made for children, so accounts belong to grown-ups. Only a parent, guardian, or teacher should sign in. Kids just tap their player.
Deleting things
- To delete a player: Grown-ups: manage players → tap the player → Delete player. It's removed from every device and from our copy.
- To take players off a device: sign out under Grown-ups: manage players.
- To delete a whole account and everything in it, email phillipchan1@gmail.com from that account's address, and we'll delete it.
